Office of The Chief of Police

The mission of the Chief of the Police Division is to direct and administer the operation of the Police Division to ensure effectiveness and economy of operation for the benefit of the citizens of Plainfield. The Police Division's major responsibility is protecting life and property, preserving peace and preventing crime within the City of Plainfield. The Chief of Police is also directly responsible for the Internal Affairs Section and the Special Operations Group. There are five Bureaus within the Police Division.
